We may collect account and contact details, business and organisation details, subscription and payment status, support communications, device and usage information, and the accounting records entered or uploaded by authorised users.
Payment card details are processed by our payment provider and are not stored in full by Chart.
How we collect information
We collect information directly from you, from authorised users of your organisation, through your use of Chart, and from service providers that support authentication, payments, communications and hosting.
Why we use it
We use information to provide and secure the service, manage subscriptions, verify access, process support requests, send service communications, improve reliability, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell customer accounting data or personal information.
Accounting data and authorised access
The organisation controls the accounting data it enters into Chart. Users should only upload information they are authorised to handle. Access is limited according to the organisation and permissions assigned to each user.
Service providers and disclosure
We may disclose information to contracted providers that support cloud hosting, authentication, email delivery, payment processing, security, analytics and technical support. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the service or with your direction or consent. Some providers may process information outside Australia and are subject to their own security and privacy obligations.
Security and retention
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorised access, alteration, loss or disclosure. No online service can guarantee absolute security. We retain information for as long as reasonably required to provide the service, maintain legitimate business records and meet legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it where appropriate.
Cookies and service data
Chart may use essential cookies and similar technologies for sign-in, security, session continuity and service operation. We may also use limited aggregated usage information to understand performance and improve the product.
Access, correction and questions
You may request access to or correction of personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable law. To make a request, raise a concern or ask a privacy question, email support@urchart.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting on a request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page with its effective date.
